“Fairy Tale” : The song of Most Popular In Chinese

Michael Wong, also well known as 光良(Guāngliáng), born 30 August 1970, is a Malaysian Chinese singer and composer. He has sung and written many love songs those of which have high popularity.
Wong began his singing career around 1995 and has released five solo albums since 2000. Fairy Tale was his breakthrough album. He has achieved a great success in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia where he is based. Wong has also helped several other successful singers by composing songs for them, including the famous ballad “Courage”(勇气) originally sung by Fish Leong. Many people call him ” The Prince of love songs “(情歌王子).

The song is writing about a guy wondering what has happened to the girl since she stopped telling her favorite story. Is it he who caused this? he thought. Then, She stopped believing in fairy tales and denying him as her Mr.right. From the music video, we can tell that the girl is sick which is why she stopped telling stories and doesn’t believe in fairy tales. In those fairy tales, the price’s kiss could solve any problem. However, he couldn’t solve hers which is why she said he couldn’t possibly be her price. But for the guy, she is everything to him. Of course, he wanted to be her favorite character in the story and protect her from her disease. Moreover, convincing her that everything will be alright and they’ll live happily ever after. We will live happily ever after he said.
